Union Primary School needs a community garden - Marta's neighborhood project

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $1,000. It will serve about 277 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $1,000 goes: • Materials: $690 • Permits and inspections: $95 • Safety equipment and signage: $90 • Tools hire and delivery: $125 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
