For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $2,100. It will serve about 133 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $2,100 goes: • Materials: $1,500 • Permits and inspections: $230 • Safety equipment and signage: $190 • Tools hire and delivery: $180 Thanks for reading all this. - Joshua
