A community-led a solar-powered water pump at Union Park that will serve 335 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,950.
It will serve about 335 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Materials: $1,500
• Permits and inspections: $130
• Safety equipment and signage: $220
• Tools hire and delivery: $100
Glad we found this place.
