Union Park needs a playground - Manoel's neighborhood project

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Park, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,050. It will serve about 107 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $1,050 goes: • Materials: $820 • Permits and inspections: $80 • Safety equipment and signage: $40 • Tools hire and delivery: $110 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Manoel
