Ugo's valve repair surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
Ugo needs valve repair surgery at Lecce Regional Medical Center and the family is $2,850 short of the hospital's estimate.

Ugo was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc in December. The surgeon at Lecce Regional Medical Center recommended valve repair surgery, and He is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $5,750, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $2,850 short.
my son has been in and out of Lecce Regional Medical Center since December. The doctors say a herniated spinal disc will get worse without valve repair surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $5,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Ugo struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Ugo won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $2,850 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $1,750
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $310
• Travel and lodging for the family: $300
• Physiotherapy sessions: $490
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
