Đức's multiple myeloma treatment fund
Supporting Đức through multiple myeloma: medication, transport to Hanoi Regional Medical Center, and living costs while He can't work.
🇻🇳 Hanoi, Hanoi, Vietnam1,007 views
Đức was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in September. The oncology team at Hanoi Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in December. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Đức is 46, worked as a tailor until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Hanoi Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $900
• Scans and lab work: $190
• Household costs while unable to work: $260
Glad we found this place.

Thanks for sharing this, Nhung. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Đức!
Sure. The biggest one is chemotherapy and medication not covered, $900. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Fair thing to want to know.
Stay strong, Nhung. Wishing Đức a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless
Praying for you, Nhung. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I'm in logistics myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care.
Wishing you the best, Nhung. This could happen to any of us. Blessings.
Thinking of you and your family. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from Pune.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Sent it to 9 people at work. Thinking of Hanoi.
So sorry you're going through this, Nhung. Shared it with a few friends.
take care, Nhung. Hope you get there. Blessings
Keep going. Shared this with my family. Love from São Paulo.
