Tyrone received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
A 10-day notice to quit arrived last week. Tyrone needs $800 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Spanish Town.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 6 weeks, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Thursday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $800.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by July, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $800 goes:
• Rent arrears (2 months): $490
• Late fees and court costs: $50
• Utilities in arrears: $50
• First month of rent as a buffer: $210
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Spanish Town.
Thank you. If you're in Spanish Town I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for asking.
Keep going, Tyrone. Looking forward to the next update.
Stay strong. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Greetings from Raleigh
