Typhoon in Sakai: help the Millbrook district rebuild

Neighbors in the Millbrook district are rebuilding after the typhoon; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

Sakai
The typhoon hit the Millbrook district on 27 August. My home was one of 18 damaged, and 13 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall. The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming. Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before. We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy. We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates. Where the $3,800 goes: • Tools and labor for repairs: $1,400 • Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $960 • Clean water and purification supplies: $670 • Food parcels for displaced families: $770 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Sure. The biggest one is tools and labor for repairs, $1,400. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for looking so closely.
