Two weekends of roof repair for Sophie, a retired bus driver in Houston
Sophie, a retired bus driver, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Houston.

I'm a retired bus driver living in Houston. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $4,050, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Shared this with my family. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Hyderabad
I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Don't give up. God bless.
Rooting for you, Sophie. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. My neighbor in Toulouse donated after I showed her your page. God bless
Keep going. Hope this works out for you. Greetings from Nashik.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
