Two weekends of roof repair for Ramesh, a disabled veteran in Siliguri
Could you spare three weekday mornings to help repair a leaking roof in Siliguri?

I'm a disabled veteran living in Siliguri. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $800, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

take care, Ramesh. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Guarulhos.
Sending good thoughts, Ramesh. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Pokhara!
Sending love, Ramesh. Your post was clear and honest. Thinking of Siliguri.
