Two weekends of roof repair for Joseph, a school janitor in Los Angeles
The roof at Joseph's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a school janitor living in Los Angeles. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $5,250, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Take care, Joseph. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
Keep going, Joseph. Hope this works out for you. All the best
Hang in there. Shared it with a few friends. My neighbor in Athens donated after I showed her your page. Blessings!
stay strong, Joseph. Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
Hang in there. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. God bless
