Two weekends of roof repair for Ifeoma, a widowed grandmother in Lagos
The roof at Ifeoma's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a widowed grandmother living in Lagos. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $380, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thanks for being kind about this.

thanks for sharing this, Ifeoma. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Lagos
Keep going. I hope things turn around soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best
Stay strong, Ifeoma. Shared it with a few friends.
