Two weekends of roof repair for Brooks, a retired bus driver in Miami
The roof at Brooks's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a retired bus driver living in Miami. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $5,750, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

keep going, Brooks. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double
Stay strong. Shared this with my family. Sent it to 18 people at work.
Hope it all works out. Your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to S茫o Paulo so I could bring a meal.
