Tumusiime lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at Nairobi General Hospital has assessed him and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,600. His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment Tumusiime could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $1,600 goes: • adapted tricycle: $1,500 • Fitting and training sessions: $55 • Delivery and set-up: $15 • First-year servicing plan: $30 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Byaruhanga
