I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a diploma in hospitality management at Newcastle upon Tyne State College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $3,050. The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.6 average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility. I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $3,050 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,550 • Final term tuition: $1,250 • Exam and lab fees: $250 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Wyatt

As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Wyatt

        • Wyatt GrahamOwnerAnswer

Sure. The biggest one is outstanding tuition balance, $1,550. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Let me know if you want more detail.

so sorry you're going through this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 6 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
