Umar is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Jakarta Barat Community College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $400.
The registrar has said Umar can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Umar has a top-ten-percent average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Umar would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Umar isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Jakarta Barat Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $400 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $150
• Final term tuition: $160
• Exam and lab fees: $45
• Textbooks and materials: $45

Wishing you the best, Anisa. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
Hope it all works out. I hope things turn around soon. Sent it to 30 people at work. Greetings from Cần Thơ
Best of luck, Anisa. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust
As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Love from Calamba
