Tuition fund for Tanvir: a computer science degree at the London Institute of Technology
A first-generation student, Tanvir needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a computer science degree.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a computer science degree at the London Institute of Technology, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a shop assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $2,050.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a top-ten-percent average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $200
• Exam and lab fees: $85
• Final term tuition: $1,765
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

hope you get there. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Wishing you peace. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. Sent it to 29 people at work. God bless.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Tanvir.
It's all in the list in the story. textbooks and materials is the big one at $200, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Good question.
Sending love. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in hospitality myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Blessings
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Sydney.
Thinking of you and your family. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care.
Keep going, Tanvir. Study hard! My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
