I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying an accounting degree at Mohammedia Polytechnic, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $950.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a top-ten-percent average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Mohammedia Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $950 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $470
• Final term tuition: $430
• Textbooks and materials: $50
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Sylvie?
Thank you. If you're in Mohammedia I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for asking.
Praying for you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Bangkok
Thinking of you, Sylvie. Your post was clear and honest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Madurai.
good luck. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't give up. All the best.
