Tuition fund for Seung-hyun: a computer science degree at Busan State College
A first-generation student, Seung-hyun needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a computer science degree.
🇰🇷 Busan, South Korea981 views
Seung-hyun is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a computer science degree at Busan State College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,000.
The registrar has said Seung-hyun can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Seung-hyun has a top-ten-percent average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Seung-hyun would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Seung-hyun isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $750
• Final term tuition: $920
• Exam and lab fees: $250
• Textbooks and materials: $80
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
