Tuition fund for Sergio: a degree in civil engineering at Rome Community College

Sergio is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at Rome Community College, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,750. The registrar has said Sergio can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Sergio has a 3.9 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Sergio would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Sergio isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Rome Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,750 goes: • Textbooks and materials: $220 • Outstanding tuition balance: $1,400 • Exam and lab fees: $130 I hope life is good to you. - Donatella
