Sebastian is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at San Francisco State College, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $6,850.
The registrar has said Sebastian can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Sebastian has a 3.9 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Sebastian would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Sebastian isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the San Francisco State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
