Tuition fund for Ruwan: a teaching qualification at Kandy Polytechnic
Ruwan is two terms away from finishing a teaching qualification but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $750.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a teaching qualification at Kandy Polytechnic, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a shop assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $750.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a first-class average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Kandy Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $750 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $20
• Final term tuition: $480
• Outstanding tuition balance: $250
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Updates from Ruwan
Good news. Because of your gifts ($25 in total) I made the first payment toward outstanding tuition balance. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Take care, Ruwan. Hope you get there. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best.
