Peyton is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a master's in public health at the Perth Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,750.
The registrar has said Peyton can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Peyton has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Peyton would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Peyton isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $4,750 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,400
• Final term tuition: $2,900
• Exam and lab fees: $260
• Textbooks and materials: $190

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.
Sending strength. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Take care
Sending strength, Mia. Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Bengaluru this morning.
Hang in there, Mia. Looking forward to the next update
