Okechukwu is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a teaching qualification at Kaduna State College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $500. The registrar has said Okechukwu can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Okechukwu has a top-ten-percent average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Okechukwu would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Okechukwu isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Kaduna State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $500 goes: • Exam and lab fees: $25 • Outstanding tuition balance: $130 • Final term tuition: $345 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
