He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $5,600. The registrar has said Nicolás can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Nicolás has a top-ten-percent average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Nicolás would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Nicolás isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
