Manoel, 92, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $850 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 92. After a fall and hip fracture Manoel can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Manoel desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Manoel worked all of his life as a schoolteacher, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $850 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $500
• Medication and prescriptions: $180
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $110
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $60
