Lucas is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a computer science degree at Metz State College, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,300. The registrar has said Lucas can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Lucas has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Lucas would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Lucas isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $2,300 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $890 • Final term tuition: $990 • Exam and lab fees: $230 • Textbooks and materials: $190 I hope life is good to you.
