I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a computer science degree at the Cape Coast Institute of Technology, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a tutor to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $500.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.8 average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the the Cape Coast Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $500 goes:
• Final term tuition: $390
• Textbooks and materials: $60
• Exam and lab fees: $50
With deep gratitude,
Kofi

Keep going. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Please keep us posted. Take care
Praying for you, Kofi. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. After 30 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Cape Coast.
