Kenta is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at Setagaya State College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,300. The registrar has said Kenta can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Kenta has a 3.8 average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Kenta would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Kenta isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Setagaya State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $4,300 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $2,050 • Final term tuition: $1,900 • Exam and lab fees: $85 • Textbooks and materials: $265 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
