Karim is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an agriculture degree at Casablanca Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $700.
The registrar has said Karim can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Karim has a 3.8 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Karim would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Karim isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $700 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $230
• Final term tuition: $380
• Exam and lab fees: $50
• Textbooks and materials: $40

You're not alone. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Karim
Outstanding tuition balance is $230 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Fair thing to want to know.
Your post was clear and honest. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Hope it all works out, Nadia. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. Take care.
sending love. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Turin
Wishing you the best, Nadia. Study hard! My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Sent it to 6 people at work
Sending strength, Nadia. Hope this works out for you. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
Sending strength, Nadia. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Augsburg donated after I showed her your page. All the best.
wishing you peace, Nadia. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings!
Best of luck. Hope you get there. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.
