Tuition fund for Juma: a computer science degree at Nakuru Polytechnic

Juma is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a computer science degree at Nakuru Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $300. The registrar has said Juma can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Juma has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Juma would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Juma isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $300 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $220 • Exam and lab fees: $15 • Textbooks and materials: $65 Glad we found this place.
