Jannat is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Bengaluru State College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $750. The registrar has said Jannat can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Jannat has a first-class average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Jannat would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Jannat isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Bengaluru State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $750 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $310 • Textbooks and materials: $30 • Final term tuition: $410 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
