Iulian is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a nursing degree at București Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,050.
The registrar has said Iulian can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Iulian has a 3.9 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Iulian would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Iulian isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $50
• Exam and lab fees: $60
• Outstanding tuition balance: $940
Thanks for reading all this.

You're not alone. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Greetings from Reading
Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. We're a small family in Üsküdar but we're thinking of you.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Iulian.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. textbooks and materials comes first ($50) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Happy to explain more.
Take care. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of București.
Sending good thoughts, Carmen. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings
Sending strength, Carmen. This could happen to any of us. Love from Moscow
