I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a law degree at Entebbe State College, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a library assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $655.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.6 average, and my department head has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Entebbe State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $655 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $300
• Final term tuition: $310
• Exam and lab fees: $40
• Textbooks and materials: $5
Thanks for being kind about this.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Please keep us posted. Greetings from Gqeberha
Hang in there, Hellen. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. I hope November is when things finally get easier.
So sorry you're going through this. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Sent it to 9 people at work. Thinking of Entebbe!
