Hari is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an agriculture degree at Chennai Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $200.
The registrar has said Hari can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Hari has a 3.6 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Hari would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Hari isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Chennai Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
