Tuition fund for Graciela: a degree in civil engineering at Guadalajara University

Graciela is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a degree in civil engineering at Guadalajara University, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,000. The registrar has said Graciela can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Graciela has a first-class average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Graciela would lose her place and scholarship eligibility. Graciela isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Guadalajara University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,000 goes: • Exam and lab fees: $60 • Outstanding tuition balance: $800 • Textbooks and materials: $140 Glad we found this place.
