Emiliano is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an electrical engineering diploma at the Medellín Institute of Technology, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a barista to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,350.
The registrar has said Emiliano can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Emiliano has a top-ten-percent average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Emiliano would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Emiliano isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $660
• Final term tuition: $530
• Exam and lab fees: $85
• Textbooks and materials: $75
Thanks for being kind about this.

Wishing you peace, Hugo. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings
Thinking of you and your family, Hugo. Your post was clear and honest. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
Praying for you, Hugo. This could happen to any of us
Sending good thoughts, Hugo. Hope you get there. After 27 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Saket.
Take care, Hugo. Hope this works out for you. All the best.
