Dian is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Jakarta Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $350.
The registrar has said Dian can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Dian has a first-class average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Dian would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Dian isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Jakarta Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $350 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $250
• Exam and lab fees: $45
• Textbooks and materials: $55
I hope life is good to you.
