Tuition fund for Dennis: an electrical engineering diploma at the Kisumu Institute of Technology
A first-generation student, Dennis needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of an electrical engineering diploma.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying an electrical engineering diploma at the Kisumu Institute of Technology, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $250.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.8 average, and my department head has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $250 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $20
• Outstanding tuition balance: $220
• Exam and lab fees: $10
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

wishing you the best, Dennis. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
Wishing you peace, Dennis. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
You're not alone. Shared this with my family. Put this on a community board in Bangkok this morning. Greetings from Bangkok.
