He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,750. The registrar has said Carter can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Carter has a first-class average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Carter would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Carter isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Oakland Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
