Tuition fund for Andrés: a diploma in hospitality management at Riverside State College

Andrés is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a diploma in hospitality management at Riverside State College, and is one semester away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,950. The registrar has said Andrés can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Andrés has a 3.8 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Andrés would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Andrés isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $4,950 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $2,250 • Final term tuition: $2,100 • Exam and lab fees: $260 • Textbooks and materials: $340 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Nicolás
