Aline is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a pharmacy diploma at Guarulhos Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,650.
The registrar has said Aline can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Aline has a 3.8 average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Aline would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.

Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Aline
Final term tuition is $830 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. I'll keep the page updated.
