Tuition fund for Aisha: a teaching qualification at Mthatha Community College
A first-generation student, Aisha needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a teaching qualification.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a teaching qualification at Mthatha Community College, and I'm two terms away from graduating. I have worked as a library assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $1,200.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.9 average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Mthatha Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $850
• Final term tuition: $280
• Exam and lab fees: $25
• Textbooks and materials: $45
Thanks for reading all this.

keep going. Shared it with a few friends. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best.
Sending love, Aisha. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did
As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn!
