Tomás was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in August. The surgeon at Tehuacán General Hospital recommended spinal decompression surgery, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,150, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,600 short. my father has been in and out of Tehuacán General Hospital since August. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without spinal decompression surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,150 is more than we can find. While we wait, Tomás struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Tomás won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section. Where the $1,600 goes: • Travel and lodging for the family: $85 • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $550 • Post-operative medication: $70 • Hospital stay (3 nights): $895 Every share and every dollar helps.

  1. Thank you all. We're at 4% now ($57). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the hospital and confirmed the amounts.
