Thomas's thyroid cancer treatment fund
Thomas is facing thyroid cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Thomas was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in June. The oncology team at Riverside University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Thomas is 40, worked as a bus conductor until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Riverside University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $11,500 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,000
• Scans and lab work: $1,300
• Transport to Riverside University Hospital: $700
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $430
• Household costs while unable to work: $2,070

What's already covered and what's the $11,500 for?
Sure. The biggest one is chemotherapy and medication not covered, $7,000. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Fair thing to want to know.
