Thiago can't leave home - help build a ramp
Help Thiago regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇧🇷 São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil623 views
Thiago has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Thiago can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the building-code slope requirement, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Thiago's family will cook lunch for the team.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- one weekend
- format
- In person in São Paulo
- skills
- carpentry, measuring, power tools
