Therapy fund for Imani: 10 sessions with a licensed counselor
Imani is working through bullying at school and needs help paying for 10 sessions with a licensed counselor.
🇰🇪 Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya785 views
After bullying at school, Imani has struggled with anxiety, sleep and panic attacks. The doctor has referred her to trauma-focused CBT, but the public waiting list is 9 months, and private sessions at Kasarani Wellbeing Centre cost $20 each.
Imani has been honest with her employer and taken some time off, but can't keep going without support.
Therapy has already helped a little in the sessions Imani could afford. The therapist recommends 10 weekly sessions, and consistent help will make the difference.
Asking for help with this has been the hardest part for Imani, and we're grateful for your kindness without judgment.
Funds cover only therapy sessions, and I'll share progress updates (not private details) if I'm comfortable.
Where the $250 goes:
• 10 therapy sessions: $150
• Psychiatric assessment: $65
• Workbook and resources: $35
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
