Therapy fund for Amber: 24 sessions with a licensed counselor
A course of weekly cognitive behavioral therapy for Amber could change everything; the cost is $1,650.
🇳🇿 Canterbury, New Zealand774 views
After a difficult divorce, Amber has struggled with anxiety, sleep and panic attacks. The doctor has referred her to weekly cognitive behavioral therapy, but the public waiting list is 6 months, and private sessions at the Christchurch Counselling Collective cost $90 each.
Amber has been honest with her employer and taken some time off, but can't keep going without support.
Therapy has already helped a little in the sessions Amber could afford. The therapist recommends 24 weekly sessions, and consistent help will make the difference.
Asking for help with this has been the hardest part for Amber, and we're grateful for your kindness without judgment.
The money will be paid directly to the counselor's practice, with a session-by-session record.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• 24 therapy sessions: $1,400
• Psychiatric assessment: $220
• Workbook and resources: $30
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
