The Unity vacant lot needs a rainwater harvesting system - Oumou's neighborhood project
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a rainwater harvesting system - we need $1,700 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,700.
It will serve about 463 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Permits and inspections: $195
• Tools hire and delivery: $355
