The Unity health centre yard needs a sensory garden for children with autism - Guadalupe's neighborhood project
A community-led a sensory garden for children with autism at the Unity health centre yard that will serve 524 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,000.
It will serve about 524 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
